Posters on My Wall
When the world looks bad outside, there's always your bedroom
Tough month, huh?
We’re here to offer a bright spot with our new interview series, Posters on my Wall. This series is all about exploring the spaces that inspire artists—the bedrooms, studios, and other hideaways that reflect their unique personalities and practices.
It begins with a look back at artists’ childhood bedrooms: how they decorated them and how those choices reflected their creative upbringing. We then look to the present, exploring how those early influences shaped each artist’s current relationship with place, creativity, and self-expression.
For our first installment, we’re thrilled to introduce pbeatgirl, a Stockholm-based artist whose moody, experimental pop is part Mariah Carey and part PC Music. We loved learning about how her relationship to folk art, tapestries, and color reflect her unique approach to building sonic worlds.
